The short answer
Uber One and DashPass are priced to the cent to be interchangeable: $9.99 a month, about $96 a year, $4.99 for students. The choice comes down to which app you actually order from, and to two traps. Uber One requires cancelling at least 48 hours before renewal; DashPass requires 24. And a lot of people pay for DashPass their credit card already gives them free, Chase Sapphire cards in particular. Uber One's edge is that it also discounts rides by 5-6%.

Which one should you pick?
Choose Uber One if…
Pick Uber One if you use Uber rides as well as Uber Eats; the ride discount is the only thing that separates the two. Cancel two full days before renewal, and expect a 50% retention offer when you do.
Choose DoorDash DashPass if…
Pick DashPass if DoorDash has the restaurants you order from, or if your card includes it for free. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel there, not in the DoorDash app.

How to run both without paying for both
Never carry both. Check your credit card benefits first; a free DashPass membership makes the decision for you. Otherwise pick the app with better coverage in your area, pay annually only if you order weekly, and put the 48-hour or 24-hour cancellation deadline in your tracker.
