What to know before you cancel

EA Play is locked to the platform you bought it on: a PlayStation subscription does nothing on PC or Xbox, and people who play on two systems sometimes discover they are paying twice. Pro exists only in the EA app on PC, so there is no Pro on consoles at any price. When a membership lapses the Play List games simply stop launching, but your saves and progress stay put and pick up where you left off if you resubscribe, and anything you bought with the member discount is yours. The annual plan renews at $39.99 with nothing more than an email, so set a reminder before the anniversary. The 10% member discount only applies to EA's own store, not to Steam, PlayStation or Xbox purchases.

Free trial policy

No free trial. EA runs $0.99 first-month promotions several times a year that renew at $5.99, and EA Play is included at no extra cost with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Start here: Find where you are billed first: the EA app, Steam, Epic, PlayStation and Xbox each run a separate EA Play subscription, and only the platform that charges you can cancel it. Complete the remaining confirmation steps before leaving the account page, and save the cancellation email or screenshot.

Is EA Play included with Xbox Game Pass?

Yes, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass include EA Play at no extra cost, and that bundled version cannot be cancelled separately. If you pay for Game Pass Ultimate and also see an EA Play charge from PlayStation, Steam or the EA app, that is a second subscription you can cancel.
