The entry Google AI Plus tier dropped from $7.99 to $4.99 and its storage doubled from 200 GB to 400 GB; the $9.99 2 TB plan was officially relabelled Google AI Plus.
May 2026
Google AI Ultra was cut from $249.99 to $199.99 a month and a new $99.99 AI Ultra tier with 20 TB was added at I/O 2026.

How to cancel Google One

1Sign in at one.google.com with the account that owns the plan and open Settings.
2Click Cancel membership (web and Google Play purchases can also be cancelled at myaccount.google.com/deleteservices → Google One).
3Confirm by clicking Cancel membership again and wait for the confirmation message.
4Storage and perks stay active until the end of the current billing cycle, then the account returns to the free 15 GB.

Subscribed through the Apple App Store? Cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Google One; Google cannot cancel App Store billing for you.

What to know before you cancel

Nothing is deleted when you cancel, but if you end up over the free 15 GB you cannot upload files, back up photos or send and receive Gmail, and incoming mail bounces. Stay over quota for two years and Google may delete content across Gmail, Drive and Photos. Storage purchases are generally non-refundable outside the EU's 14-day window. Two different products are now called Google AI Plus, a $4.99 400 GB tier sold through Gemini and the relabelled $9.99 2 TB plan, so check which one your invoice names before comparing prices.

Free trial policy

Storage-only plans have no free trial (everyone starts with 15 GB free); Google periodically offers first-time subscribers a free month or discounted first months on the AI Plus and AI Pro tiers.
