If you signed up through Apple or a mobile carrier, cancel through that provider's subscription settings instead.

Netflix doesn't prorate or refund, cancel right after a charge and you still get the full month. Your profiles, watch history, and recommendations are kept for 10 months, so rejoining later picks up where you left off. Extra Member slots are separate subscriptions and must be cancelled separately.

Run the math first: the ad-free Extra Member slot is $9.99/month, while a standalone Standard-with-Ads account is $8.99. Unless the extra member specifically needs ad-free viewing tied to your account, a separate ads account is now cheaper.
