What to know before you cancel

Almost nobody pays list price for Starz at first: the $0.99 to $3 intro deals are everywhere, and when they end the renewal is 3 to 10 times the promo rate, announced in an easily missed email. The Annual plan is prepaid and non-refundable, so cancelling it only stops the next renewal. An app subscription and a channel subscription (Prime Video, Apple TV, Hulu, Roku, Google Play) are separate accounts, and cancelling one leaves the other billing, which is how people end up paying twice. Check your card statement for both a Starz charge and a channel charge before you assume you are done. Your watchlist and profiles survive if you come back later.
