What to know before you cancel

Amazon has raised this price five times since May 2022, twice within thirteen months, and applies each increase to existing subscribers at their next renewal. Eligible monthly plans can be paused instead of cancelled, which keeps your library intact. After cancelling, Unlimited tracks and downloads go grey but saved playlists stay on the account; Prime members fall back to the shuffle-based Amazon Music Prime, everyone else to the ad-supported free tier. Annual plans are only sold to Prime members, and the Individual plan includes one audiobook a month that ends with the billing cycle.
