Paying through Apple or Google Play? Cancel in that store's subscriptions screen; Tidal cannot cancel third-party-billed plans, and store prices differ from the web.

Tidal has no free tier since 2024, so cancelling means no playback at all; playlists and favourites survive and come back if you resubscribe, but offline downloads are DRM-protected and stop playing the day the plan ends. The August 2026 increase applied automatically at renewal, so anyone who missed the notice is now paying the new rate. Apple- and Google-billed subscribers pay different prices and get change notices from the store, not from Tidal.
