YouTube Premium costs $4 more ($15.99) and already includes Music Premium, so a household that pays for both is throwing away $11.99 a month; check youtube.com/paid_memberships for a duplicate before you do anything else. If you only need a break, pause for 1 to 6 months instead of cancelling: billing stops and the membership resumes on its own. The Family plan requires every member to live at the same address, and Google does check. When Music Premium lapses your downloads expire, but your library, playlists and likes stay usable in the free app with ads.
