Canva Pro vs Figma Professional: price, plans, and which to keep

Current US prices, price history, trial terms, and cancellation friction side by side, built from our service guides. Last reviewed August 26, 2026.

The short answer

Both list $18 a month on monthly billing, but the annual prices split: Canva Pro is $144 a year while Figma Professional is $15 per editor per month on annual billing, $180 a year. They solve different problems, marketing assets versus product design, and their free tiers are different too: Figma's Starter plan is usable indefinitely with three files, while Canva's free tier loses premium assets and Brand Kits. Figma's cost creeps through 'accidental' paid editor seats; Canva's stays flat and can be paused for three months.

Canva Pro is cheaper by $36 a year on its entry plan.

How to run both without paying for both

Many small teams need both, but rarely both as paid plans. Keep the paid plan on the tool you use daily and run the other on its free tier: Figma Starter for occasional mockups, or Canva Free for the odd social graphic.
