Strava's annual plan, $79.99, is half of Peloton App One's $159.99, and the gap widens against App+ at $289.99 or the $49.99-a-month All-Access plan for Peloton hardware. They are complementary rather than rival: Strava tracks and analyses what you did outside, Peloton sells the classes you do inside. Both offer 30-day trials. Strava keeps your entire history on the free tier if you cancel; Peloton lets you pause for up to three months instead.

Choose Strava if…
Pick Strava if you run or ride outdoors and want routes, segments and training analysis. Seasonal athletes can drop to free over the winter and lose nothing but the premium features.
Choose Peloton if…
Pick Peloton if guided classes are what keep you exercising, and choose the tier honestly: App One at $15.99 covers most people, App+ adds equipment classes, and All-Access is only for people who own the bike or tread.
